Class of 2019
When did you come to Brandon Hall? Fall 2018
What is your favorite thing about Brandon Hall? What gave you that first "This is the school for me" feeling? My favorite thing about Brandon Hall is how welcoming and helpful the staff is here. When I first visited the school in April of 2018, I was immediately greeted by smiling faces and an inviting atmosphere. As I toured the school, I was impressed by how diverse the students are and how well the multitudes of students from different backgrounds were accommodated for. I quickly knew that Brandon Hall is where I belonged.
What's your favorite Brandon Hall memory? My favorite Brandon Hall memory is when I first arrived here on orientation weekend. As I was being introduced to the school, I was struck with a deep feeling of excitement as I learned about all the opportunities I would have in the upcoming year.
What has been your greatest achievement in your time here? My greatest achievement in my time at Brandon Hall is receiving the position of Student Leadership Council President.
What after school activity has helped you to grow the most? The after school activity that has helped me to grow the most is Varsity Volleyball. For the majority of my high school life, I had spent my time playing tennis year-round in my hometown, Kingston, Jamaica. However, in the fall of 2018, I decided to join the Varsity Volleyball team. I immediately grew fond of the sport and the girls around me that I was fortunate enough to call my team. Throughout the season, I developed my teamwork skills and learned how to communicate efficiently in intense situations. I am grateful to have had the experience and continue to utilize the skills I have learned in my day to day life.
What do you like to do for fun when you're not in school? In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching movies, taking walks, working out, playing the ukulele and spending time with my friends and family.
